Assumption Field Trip to Barney’s!!

Assumption's last newsletter of the year! We are blessed with many memories over the past month and more to come in June! Find out what's happening at Assumption!

Assumption students who made the Top 20 was Ethan Kulyk and Harper Caskey! 👏🎉Congratulations to all the students honoured at the Doorpost Café on Friday, June 9th at St. Francis of Assisi Academy. Eighteen students shared their beautiful words in front of family and friends. Their writing pieces along with other student writing from across the division will be included in CTR’s published 2023 Tablets and Doorpost Anthology.

All Assumption library books are now due for yearend! Please return any library books you may have at home back to the school!

To see the seniors and kids playing games together is fantastic! Some residents just came to watch while others got right into the mix. Playing Jenga, cards, stack a cup & egg races. The kids loved going into the jail too. What a great day!

Thank you to all our grandparents for joining us on Grand Friends Day!! We wrapped the year up with coffee, cake and a song to say THANK YOU for making a difference!

Thank you to everyone who came out to support Brody yesterday!

Tomorrow is the big DAY for Brody! The kids have decorated his chair, his table at the legion and ARC parents food donations are coming in for supper for tomorrow night! Thank you to everyone in the community for donating ❤️!! Join us tomorrow for the bike ride for Brody Smigelski! Gathering between 11-1 at the ops bus loop We will be leaving ops bus loop, turning right onto 5th ave, heading towards the lodge where we will stop for a quick freezie break and then continue on! ** The Big Biker Rally guys will register at the Legion at 10:30 then the riders will head out. Join in at the Legion for drinks, supper and silent auction following the rally!! Everyone is welcome. All $ raised will help Brody battle Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy!

Our last grandparent day is June 5th this coming Monday!! Please join us!

Track and Field Day at Assumption! Grade 4 Boys from all the schools bringing Brody across the finish line 👏👏👏👏!!!

Everyone is welcome to come cheer on our Track and Field all stars grades 1-6 from OPS, New Brigden, Acadia Valley, and Assumption!! Thank you ARC parent council for providing a food booth! Come for lunch!! See you tomorrow, May 24th at Assumption track!

Congratulations 2023 SCHS graduates!!!

Catholic Education Week!! We celebrated Catholic Education by having a pizza party (thank you parent council), wearing blue and to end the week a beautiful living Rosary led by Father Rodel! 🙏 #ibelieveincatholiced

Prayers to our grade 5/6 girls who are writing their LA PATs today at assumption!! Breakfast bacon eggers this morning to fuel their minds! ❤️🙏 YOU got this!!

As we all know June is coming fast, really fast. With that said The Bike Rally for Brody is on June the 3rd. Assumption school has kindly offered to take care of the supper portion. With that said Parent Council has ordered and paid for the beef for beef on a bun. Supper will consist of Beef on bun, a salad bar and a dessert bar. I am looking for help with the following: 10 people to bring 2 dozen buns each. 10 people to bring a Caesar salad. 5 people to bring large bowl of pasta salad. (recipe of your choice) 5 people to bring a corn salad or even itchiban salad. 4 large jars of sliced dill pickles Items can be dropped off at the school on June 2nd, or at the legion between 12-2pm on June 3rd. Also looking for a couple parents who would be willing to help set up and clean up the meal portion of this event. (June 3rd) Please text Renee Tye @ 403-664-9376 if you are able to help.
