Prairie Rose’s rural transportation system will not be operating today for Assumption School due to road conditions. Although the school will remain open, we anticipate that some students and staff members may be unable to attend. As a result, regular instruction will not take place, and no new material will be introduced today. Classroom activities will focus on review and independent learning for students who are able to attend. If your child will be absent today due to road conditions, please call the school to report their absence. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Please stay safe while traveling.

That sneaky Leprechaun... he got away again! 🍀✨ Our classrooms were filled with glitter, gold coins, and some seriously clever traps yesterday, but it looks like our tiny green friend was just a little too quick for us. Even though we didn’t catch him, he sure left a trail of magic (and maybe a little mess!) behind for our Kindergarten through Grade 6 students. From engineering the ultimate traps to searching for that pot of gold, it was a day full of luck and laughter. We’re already planning our schemes for next year! 🌈🎩 How did your little ones celebrate the luck of the Irish?

Students at Assumption School recently shared a beautiful, unprompted expression of their faith right on the playground! Using simple stones and evergreen branches found during recess, a group of children carefully crafted a cross and a circle amidst the woodchips. The most touching part of this story is the reverence shown by the rest of the school community. For many days afterward, students played mindfully around the display, ensuring this quiet tribute remained undisturbed. It is a powerful testament to the gift of Catholic education and how deeply the values of respect and prayer are woven into the daily lives of Assumption students. Drop a 💙 in the comments to join us in celebrating the vibrant faith of our Assumption School community! #ibelieveincatholiceducation #weareassumption

CONGRATULATIONS to Mrs. Stolz for winning the Christian Witness Award this year for Assumption School! Sandra has been a shining example of faith and service in our school community for many years. Through her quiet leadership and dedication, she nurtures the spiritual growth of students and staff, ensuring that Catholic teachings are lived and felt every day. From helping organize school masses and daily morning Gospel assemblies to training altar servers, Sandra intentionally fosters faith development. She never seeks recognition for her efforts, instead humbly leading by example. Her commitment extends beyond the school walls. As a reader at Mass, an active Parish Council member, and a supporter of parish ministries, Sandra shares her time and talents generously and helps with church ministries, including collections and other behind the scenes responsibilities, modeling a Catholic lifestyle rooted in humility and service. Sandra’s quiet strength and unwavering faith inspire all who know her. We are truly blessed to honor her with this year’s Christian Witness Award.
